Hello!

A few months ago I entered a poem into a little poetry contest out of boardom. Then one day I get a letter in the mail saying that out of thousands of entries, my poem will be in the finals for the top prizes. Whoo hoo cash baby! Anyways The Poetry Insitute of Canada will be publishing my poem in their book Whispers On The Wind, a poetry anthology. They'll be sending me a printed proof of the poem in a few week, but I have no idea when the book will be out. Anyways I'm pretty happy about it. Of course I'll be pulling it out of my gallery for obvious reasons. But here it is:

Birds of Prey and the Goddess

Thin crimson streaks,
painting broken glass
Strawberry gold running,
on smooth porcelain legs
Delicate feet sliding on hot coals
Flames licking up blisters
Eyes closing in delirious pain
Pouty lips moaning in delight
She’s climaxing in fire
and dancing among the vultures
Picking at her lover’s corpse,
gnawing on flesh and bone
She’s laughing into the night
As they worship her grace

On another note I'm looking forward to decorating the house for Halloween (I'm such a child sometimes) and still looking for work.
